Life-saving drugs, delivered better.
Every Persist team member has had family who suffered from chronic conditions and had to undergo treatment (sometimes really painful and cumbersome).
About 15 years ago, Karthik's mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was given a 6 month prognosis.
Initial treatments against her tumor were effective only for 3 months and then started failing.
Luckily the doctors found that Avastin (Bevacizumab), a newly released drug, was effective. This drug changed her disease trajectory.
She was able to live for 15 more years and celebrate many personal milestones before losing her battle.
Due to stories like this, we're passionate about our work.
We want to accelerate drug development of life-saving drugs and improve delivery so that more patients are able to celebrate personal milestones like Karthik's mom.

Karthik Raman, Ph.D
Karthik completed a Ph.D in Bioengineering with a focus on drug delivery to the brain from the Univ. of Utah. He has over 10 years of experience across drug delivery, automation, and machine learning.
COO
Christopher Shelner, M.S, LSSBB
Chris is a mechanical engineer by training and an expert in organizational strategy. He has worked across automation, synthetic biology, and electronics manufacturing in Northrop Grumman, Arris and Zymergen over his career.
